This French Back-to-school Lapbook is :D! And what I mean it that it’s full of emojis!
Who doesn’t use emojis nowadays? Well, maybe you don’t really, but kids certainly do and they’ll <3 putting together this fun all about me lapbook in French.
French Back-to-school Lapbook
At the beginning of the year, you’ll want to get to know your students and let them get to know each other.
This printable activity will have them answering the same questions they have heard hundreds of times before, but they won’t even notice.
Why is that?
Because everything follows a smartphone look, complete with emojis!

This lapbook includes the following tasks/activities for students to complete:
- simple goal-setting, e.g. Cette année je veux apprendre à…, je veux lire des livres sur…
- talking about likes, e.g. sport préféré, matière préférée, etc
- writing about themselves
- writing about classroom DOs and DON’Ts
- “find someone who…” so that they can get to know one another
This lapbook is one of the easiest to put together, with lots of simple cutting and pasting, which is a great way to introduce kids to interactive foldables.
And if you’re worried about your color ink, don’t be! I’ve included the color version in case you want to create a sample lapbook like the one in the pictures.
For your students, I’ve included B&W pages that they’ll color away!
