Looking for a French winter videos list for your classroom?

Well, here it is 😉

French Winter Videos List

This post includes ten winter-themed videos.

  • La neige tombe

A winter-themed song that also serves as a body parts vocabulary review. It displays the lyrics and illustrations of the parts of the body to support understanding of the song meaning.

  • Neige neige blanche

Super-short song with easy lyrics that kindergartners (and some first-graders) will love!

  • Petits flocons blancs

“Petits flocons blancs (…) comme des papillons blancs” – this video would allow you to discuss poetry and poetic devices, such as rhyme, literal x figurative meaning, metaphors, etc. If your students are too young for that, they can just sing along!

  • Petit Pouce dans la neige

A story told through the movement of fingers, hands, and some sound effects. Great to work on retelling–ask your students to retell what the story is about.

  • Un bonhomme de neige est né

No winter is complete without a snowman! Fun song to teach or review sequencing.

  • Trotro et le bonhomme de neige

Another video about building a snowman, but this is a story (not a song). Trotro doesn’t want the snowman to feel cold.

  • Petit flocon

The animation and the song are beautiful.

  • Il neige – Boris

Boris is so excited that it is snowing! But will his toys feel as excited about it?

  • Bonjour l’hiver , Charlotte Diamond

This is a fun song and its lyrics are displayed on the video, which might help some students understand it better. Of course, if you’re trying to get them to work on their listening skills, consider just playing the song and cover the images!
