French Morning Work Activities Month 7 Grade 2: Le petit travail du matin

So what do you get from using morning work activities in the classroom?

Well, there are many benefits, but I’ll highlight a couple of them.

  1. Make your students feel accomplished by providing them activities they can complete independently. You certainly need to model the activities first, but they should pick up what to do within a few days and will work on the same kind of exercises for 4 weeks.
  2. Find yourself some time to attend to other morning tasks while they complete the morning work pages.

The activities in this printable set (Grade 2 – Month 7) will get your students working with:

  • Critical thinking and writing practice by finding the odd one out (“trouver l’intrus”) and explaining their reasoning.
  • French phonics by coloring the sounds that are included in the words.
  • Reading comprehension and grammar in context by choosing the right words (verbs, prepositions, etc) to fill in the blanks in the sentences.

This set covers four weeks of work and requires only 4 sheets of paper (double-sided printing).

You have two purchasing options:

Some teachers call these worksheets “le petit travail du matin”, or bell ringers, or bell work. Which expression do you use?

Hope you and your students enjoy and benefit from this set of French Morning Work Activities!

Thank you for reading.

Merci!
